Sound Resistance! on Co-op Radio, 102.7 FM

Where:
102.7 FM

When:
Thursday, 26th of February 2004 from 1:00 PM until approximately 2:00 PM

Tune into Sound Resistance! on Co-op Radio, 102.7 FM, this Thursday
(and every Thursday) from 1pm to 2pm. This week we'll focus on
Black History Month as well as some of the work being done in Ontario to
organize the fight back there.

Nicole Storms from the Mohawk Nation and the Tenant Action Group
(TAG) in Belleville, Ontario will describe how TAG has stopped
evictions, helped with welfare casework, supported squatting actions, and
prevented over 1000 hydro cutoffs (the privatization of hydro in Ontario
has allowed rates to skyrocket).

Michelle LaFlamme is an artist, educator, activist, and one of the
organizers of this year's Black History Month (BHM) celebrations. She
will highlight this year's remaining events and explain how BHM has
evolved over the years.

Mumia Abu-Jamal with also lend another hard-hitting commentary and
we'll highlight Sydney, Australia's black, indigenous musical talent!

So tune in this and every Thursday from 1pm to 2pm to join Sound
Resistance! only on Co-op Radio, 102.7 FM, the People's Station!
