Celebrate Choice!

 

Please join us ON SATURDAY APRIL 24, 2004

8:30  a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

 

Where:  The Women's Health Centre

At BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre in Vancouver

 

Why: This is an opportunity for Pro-choice people to:

Ø    Network, share information and strategize.

Ø    Hear about the latest developments in Reproductive Health

Ø    Explore historically and politically relevant issues.

Ø    Foster connections among people in communities throughout the province.

 

The day will consist of panel discussions of relevant topics, 

a resource fair and some fun group activities.

 

      "CELEBRATE CHOICE" TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

       

      Ø     Reproductive Rights, Legal, and Social Issues

      Ø     Updates on the broad spectrum of abortion care

      Ø     Global, National and local Issues re access to Reproductive Health Services

      Ø     An update on anti-choice activities

      Ø     Reproductive Technology Legislation

      Ø     Latest trends in Contraception and Emergency Contraception

      Ø     Women's Health Issues

There is no registration fee for this event.  Refreshments will be provided, but you will be required to supply your own meals.  A listing of various local restaurants will be included in your registration package.

 

Breakfast will be provided for those who will be staying for 'Canada's Day of Action' on Sunday April 25th.  The march will commence at 11:30 a.m.
