TWO pro-choice events coming up in Vancouver to complement the March on
Washington DC April 25, 2004. First event is a 'Celebrate Choice'
conference on April 24th, second event is the 'Speak Up for Women's Choice'
march on April 25th. See below for more details.

Please join us ON SATURDAY APRIL 24, 2004
8:30  a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where:  The Women’s Health Centre at BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre in 
Vancouver

Why: This is an opportunity for Pro-choice people to:
Ø	Network, share information and strategize.
Ø	Hear about the latest developments in Reproductive Health
Ø	Explore historically and politically relevant issues.
Ø	Foster connections among people in communities throughout the province.

The day will consist of panel discussions of relevant topics,
a resource fair and some fun group activities.

“CELEBRATE CHOICE” TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:
Ø	Reproductive Rights, Legal, and Social Issues
Ø	Updates on the broad spectrum of abortion care
Ø	Global, National and local Issues re access to Reproductive Health Services
Ø	An update on anti-choice activities
Ø	Reproductive Technology Legislation
Ø	Latest trends in Contraception and Emergency Contraception
Ø	Women’s Health Issues

Health Centre, Pro-Choice Action Network, Elizabeth Bagshaw Clinic,
Everywoman’s Health Centre, Students For Choice (UBC), Vancouver Women’s
Health Collective and others.

Join us for a strong and united voice in support of Women’s Rights to Reproductive
Choice and Self-determination

March begins at 11:30 am Sunday, April 25 at Burrard skytrain Station. Rally
starts 12:30 pm at the upper plaza west of  Waterfront Skytrain Station
(Granville and Cordova)

It's time for Canadians to speak up on choice! Increasing lack of access to
abortion services, aging abortion providers and political barriers are
threatening a woman's right to reproductive freedom and choice.  The attack
on women's choice in the U.S. and the potential ripple impact of the
neo-conservative agenda on Canadians cannot be ignored.  It's for these
very reasons that the Planned Parenthood Federation of Canada, the
Pro-Choice Action Network and many other pro-choice organizations from
coast to coast have joined together to form the Pro-Choice Canada
Coalition.  This Coalition is set to stand up for choice as we join together
for Canada's Day of Action for Choice on April 25, 2004, which will coincide
with the historic March for Women's Lives in Washington, D.C. 
(www.marchforchoice.org).

On April 25th we need to raise our voices in solidarity to ensure women’s
reproductive rights – fundamental human rights – remain protected in
Canada.  With true reproductive choice, women have the ability to control
their own economic, educational and family potential.
