Participant in May 1968 Speaking at Spartacus Books

SFU Communications Professor Andrew Feenberg, who was a participant in the
Events of May 1968 in Paris, will speak on his experience at Spartacus Books,
311 W. Hastings in downtown Vancouver on Sunday November 2, following the
anarchist movie night which begins at 7:30 pm. To see the transcript of a talk
he has given previously on this subject, entitled
"Socialism and Anti-Technocratic Struggle in the
French May Events of 1968: An Essay in Retrieval"

films that will be shown prior to the talk are
"Anarchism in America",
which consists of a century-long historical survey of U.S. anarchism and
"We Interrupt This
Empire" which is a documentary focusing on the
unruly and innovative antiwar protests that erupted in San Francisco in
March 2003. Following all of this there will be a discussion, as usual, which
in the recent past have been quite lively and gone on for several hours.
