Hi everyone

On Monday, October 20 from 10-6 pm, Third and fourth year students from the School for the Contemporary Arts are participating in the Vancouver Performance Art Biennial by producing site specific performance art works which will occur outdoors at the Burnaby Campus.  You can pick up a map of locations of performances on campus in front of the Library, as well as more information about the city-wide Biennial.   Here is a list of participants and the general locations:

1.  Izabela Domachowski, Tahina Awan, Kathy-Ann Bates, Maria Sandner in CM (Convocation Mall) & AQ (Academic Quadrangle)  Performances at 10:20 and 11:20 for approx. 15 minutes each time
2.  Irene Loughlin in the games room MB (through main entrance of the Maggie Benson, enter SFSS café at left of entrance, and go down the stairs at the back of the cafe)between 11-12 pm
3.  Samer El-Nashar at the Centre of CM 12-2pm 
4.  Aben: Reynen Between the mosaics of AQ  2-4 pm
5.  Reece Terris at the centre gardens of AQ (Academic Quadrangle)   3-5 pm
6.  Irina Chucko at the top of staircase   NW corner of AQ  4-5 pm
7.  Daniel Anderson in the Grad Procenium of CM  4 – 4:30 
8.  Kristina Jaugelis a walk starting in Parking lot B at 5:30

You are also invited to the Biennial opening this coming Saturday! Here’s the details:

Biennial Opening Reception featuring a talk with cultural theorist Kristine Stiles from Duke University on the subject of “Props for the Memory and Doing Wrong in the work of Joseph Beuys”

Saturday, October 18 at 7 pm.
Free Admission
UBC at Robson Square Theatre
800 Robson St. (at Vancouver Art Gallery)

and the LIVE Society after party featuring a live performance with six video projectors by Paul Wong
Sat. Oct. 18 at 9:30
