Tuesday, 14th of October 2003 from 10:00 AM until approximately 12:30 PM

Betty Krawczyk's sentencing & speech to sentence... has been postponed 
till Tuesday Oct 14th, 10:00am @ 800 Smythe at the Law Courts, see the 
listings on the wall to find out wich courtroom she is in... MUSTER @ 9:30am 
for SUPPORT RALLY...

Walbran-Dididat territory forest protector sentencing 

Betty is a 75 year old grandmother, Raging Grannie, who stood in the Walbran 
Valley(where oldgrowth rainforest protection started alltogether on the 
west coast over 2 decades ago) to stop clearcutting & the 
destruction of temperate rainforest irreplacable ecosystem with the 
Women in the Woods early this summer. 

After 1 month in jail with no charges, then according to the judge's own 
instructions having been released but kept & sent back to jail by 
prison authorities... untill her trial(early September), found guilty of 
criminal contempt of court rather than simply guilty of just what she was 
doing: blocking a road, & still kept in jail untill 8th of October 
sentencing date, postponed to Tuesday the 14th... SHE WILL HAVE ALREADY 
SPENT 135 DAYS IN JAIL incuding her birthday... 

Please bring your support in the form of presence of either one or all of the 
following: BODY, MIND & SPIRIT...

Invite family & friends, people of all ages & of all walks 
of life to be there!!! 

Compared to 135 days in Jail or so, + potential more from sentencing, a small gesture it 
will be on our behalf to be there to support her, by dropping in from 5 minutes 
to 2-3 hours at most, that these proceeding will take... 

Lets be, think & act for seven generation in 
mind/body/spirit/peace/love, as the stewards of the planet, fo our 
children's children's children's... 

Let's have a healing circle, a drumming circle, a heartsong, let's invite native 
elders & indigenous communities to share their ceremonies... 
Lets be there at the front doors early like 9am or 9:30am... 
& gather as well after, on the outdoor garden plaza...
