[van-announce] Invitation to the Global Awareness Fair

The International Solidarity Group from SFPIRG has organized a Global 
Awareness Fair at Simon Fraser University Burnaby Campus for the week of 
November 5-7.  The Global Awareness Fair is an opportunity for progressive 
groups on and off campus to meet and share their ideas.  The three day fair 
will comprise of speakers, film screenings, workshops and information 
booths.  The ISG cordially invites you and any progressive group to take 
part in this event.  To ensure space and time availability please contact us

WHO WE ARE
We are an action group within SFU’s Public Interest Research Group concerned 
with social justice and global solidarity.  One of our main goals with the 
Global Awareness Fair (GAF) is to increase campus communication among 
progressive groups and to draw links between global struggles.



WHAT YOU CAN DO
This is a way for your group to voice your message.  You can do this through 
speakers, global justice films, workshops and information booths.  There are 
no limits, however, the GAF is what you make it to be!



HOW TO GET INVOLVED
If you want to get involved and you want to set up an information table, 
please let us know which days you’d like to be up on campus (Nov. 5-7).  
There is also an option for you to have a table for all three days.



If you wish to have a speaker or show a film please let us know the day(s) 
and time(s) that are most convenient for you.  We ask that all films shown 
at the GAF come from the SFU library due to copyright restrictions. (You’d 
be surprised what they have in there!)



Be as creative as you want – workshops, art projects, music, theatre!  All 
ideas are welcome!





This is a great way for any progressive group to be heard and voice their
