Joao Pedro Stedile's Canadian Tour

On behalf of the Canadian Association for the Study of International
Development (CASID) and the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development
and Peace (DP), we are happy to inform you that Joao Pedro Stedile, Main
Coordinator for the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) will be visiting
Canada from October 20 to 25 to speak about the challenges and dilemmas
confronting Brazilian landless peasants. Mr. Stedile is a remarkable peasant
activist who over the last two decades has worked actively and passionately
to promote changes in the unjust Brazilian agrarian structure. Currently,
the MST is the largest and most influential peasant movement in Latin
