Demonstration Against Paul Martin

Appologies to those that received a huge attachement due to an error from an earlier post
on this event.

Sent by Vancouver Chapter Council of Canadians

Paul Martin will be appointed our next prime minister
in February next year, at the latest, and then will
call an election to get his own mandate to govern the
country. What will follow is four more years of what
Martin already did to the country: more attacks on the
poor, more tax cuts for the rich, more free trade,
continental integration with the US, taking Canada
into a military partnership with the New (and old)
American Empire with Star Wars II - and much, much
more.

In recognition of the threat that Paul Martin poses to
Canadian sovereignly and democracy a group has begun
forming across the country. It is - for now - called
the Campaign to Expose Paul Martin. We launched our
campaign in Charlottetown last Saturday with a
spirited demonstration and the postering of the down
town with posters announcing
Warning: Paul Martin is
Hazardous to Canadas health
.

Martin is in town for the next in series of Liberal
leadership debates. The debate starts at 1:00 and goes
until 3:00. (You have to have a ticket to get in and
be a Liberal member to get a ticket.)

There is no formal group organizing this campaign in
Vancouver - yet. Hopefully that will change in the
next two weeks or so.

Right now we need to rely on the various email lists
and other word-of-mouth methods to get people out.
Coming out of this demonstration, I hope we can
formally organize a small group to co-ordinate future
demos and action.

Feel free to use your imagination in making your own
placards. There will be fact sheets to hand out .

Please send this out as widely as possible...If anyone
wants to run off copies of the poster or the fact
sheet please get in touch with me - they are quite big
files to send out to everyone.
