Sisters and Brothers

I have to report that today the PHSA issued displacement notices to all
Environmental Services and Food Service Workers at my local , Children's &
Women's. The contract has gone to Compass CORP, the very same Corporation
that signed the deal for Coastal region with an IWA SCAB Local early this
year.  Management was SHOUTED DOWN by angry HEU members when workers were
summoned to a last minute assembly to hear the plan, and fled the
auditorium after calling security for help.

WE NEED HELP TO FIGHT: WE ARE READY TO ACT.

Please meet with us at 7pm Wednesday May 28 ( Tomorrow Night) at "Turk's
Coffee Shop" on Commercial Drive, across from the Park, to discuss
Solidarity Support for our fightback.  This action will happen FAST: time
& place will be disclosed at the meeting. C&W is buying the coffee.

Please RSVP to Gretchen gdulmage at axion.net;  gdulmage at cw.bc.ca; and Victor
velkins at shaw.ca; velkins at cw.bc.ca (the cw.bc.ca is our work email).  I'd
appreciate a phone number, if possible. If you are unable to attend
tomorrow night, please STAND BY your emails and voicemails for further
info by Thur Morning.
