Day of Defiance

Three actions are being planned by the APC for the Day of Defiance:

FIGHT THE BC LIBERALS

1.GORDON CAMPBELL'S PRAYER BREAKFAST
2.SNAKE MARCH
3.FLYING SQUAD FOR NATIVE HOUSING


Anti-Poverty Committee organizers are putting together two flying squad
actions for the Day of Defiance.  These actions will both begin the Day of
Defiance and end it on May 23rd.  We hope that the Day of Defiance will
lead into a Prolonged Period of Defiance.

1. Join us at 7AM, Robson Side of the Art Gallery, Friday May 23rd.  We
are going to go down to the Vancouver Hotel where Premier Gordon Campbell
will be having breakfast martini's with religious conservatives.  Word is
the Multi-Faith Coalition For Social Justice also plans to protest the
Prayer Breakfast.  Bring food and coffee.

2. Join the Lower Mainland Coalition For Social Justice's Snake March
starting at 12 NOON at the Burrard Skytrain Station.

3. Join us at 3:30 PM at Native Housing 1700 East Pender.  Eight units are
being evicted, three of them have single mother families in them.  All
units provide affordable housing for indigenous First Nations people.  We
are planning something special.


Where:	7AM: Art Gallery, 12PM: Burrard Skytrain, 3:30PM: Native Housing 1700 East Pender
When:	Friday, 23rd of May 2003 from 7:00 AM until approximately 5:00 PM
