STOP YOUR ENGINES,
STOP THE WAR!

One of the simplest direct actions to end your own support for the War [in Iraq for Oil this time] is to stop paying your dollars to the people profitting from/creating this Oily War.

Ride your Bike for Peace.

Ride your Bike for Freedom.

Cars Kill and are the leading cause of death for young people here. Cars are also the leading cause of Oil dependance and cause Oil Wars which may become the leading cause of death in the middle East.

Bicycling rejects all that. Human Power is about local participatory democratic solutions.

Critical Mass rides, skateboards, rollerskates, wheels and parties regularly on the last Friday of Every Month. The next regular CM ride is Friday March, 28th 5:30pm.

This ride, one week early is called to support the Anti Oil War effort which addresses the problems of an Auto-Addicted War Thinking World. We need to build an alternative. Also Bikes Not Bombs attempts to highlight the contradiction of driving an Oil burning automobile to an Anti-Oil burning Protest Rally or March. While we support and encourage all types of Anti War Activism, we need real solutions and to look at how we ourselves participate in the systems of war that we are trying to dismantle. Bikes are cheap also; divesting from cars to public transit leaves room for us all. Bikes leave a lot of room for others and outcompete the Car in terms of freedom: breaking the coolness TV/PR/image which is the main barrier keeping us trapped in the automobile.

There will also be a Bikes Not Bombs themed Critical Mass next week.

The revolution has not just begun and will not end here. The revolution keeps rolling. The revolution will not be motorised.

Join us for a fun street party and serious reclaimation of public space away from the tyranny of the private automobile. We will ride independantly but in support of the rally/peace march, taking a different route sometimes and ride along with the group sometimes. Today's ride, will be a smallish group having fun and telling people about next weeks larger event.

The future will only contain what we put into it now. We need to start today to build the future we love to imagine. Bikes don't Block Traffic, We ARE Traffic!
