What: Support rally for the Nuxalk
When: 9:00-10:00 AM, Monday 3 March 2003
Where: Entrance of Supreme Court of BC,
800 Smithe Street, Coast Salish Territory

Omega Salmon Corporation is trying to get an injunction to stop Nuxalk
protesters from protesting against the construction of a fish farm facility at
Ocean Falls, Nuxalk Territory.

The Ocean Falls facility is currently being constructed to supply fish farms up
and down the Pacific Coast with Atlantic Salmon Smolts. The Nuxalk Nation
is opposed to fish farming, and has been protesting the expansion of fish
farming into Nuxalk Territory.

On Monday, March 3, 2003, at 1O:OO a.m., Nuxalk hereditary chefs will be
in the BC Supreme Court to challenge Omega's injunction. The Nuxalk
hereditary chefs will be asserting their inherent rights to occupy Nuxalk land
and to protect wild salmon for present and future generations.
