Witness From Iraq - Kathy Kelly at Unitarian Church

 Kathy Kelly, 3 time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize will be speaking at a
public forum "Spotlight on Iraq".
 Kathy, co-founder of Chicago based Voices in the Wilderness, has for the
past 12 years been raising awareness of the suffering of the Iraqi people
under US led sanctions on Iraq and has organized many delegations to that
country. Kathy has been to Iraq 20 times over the past several years to
witness the devastating effects the UN sanctions were having on Iraqi
civilians. She remained in Baghdad during this past war in solidarity with
the people of Iraq and to witness the cruelty and depravity of
"shock and awe". Her first-hand
experience in Iraq provides a counterbalanace to US disinformation.

This forum is co-sponsored by the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian
Church of Vancouver and
the Coalition in Solidarity with the People of Iraq, CESAPI; (formerly known as
Campaign to End Sanctions Against the people of Iraq.)
