INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION: 36 YEARS OF OCCUPATION IS ENOUGH

Call/Fax/Email your MP and PM

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 5, 2003 is the thirty-sixth anniversary of the 
Israeli military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.  Please take 
the time to make your feelings about the occupation known to your MP, 
Foreign Minister Bill Graham, Prime Minister Jean Chretien, the UN and/or 
the Israeli embassy (contact information below).

Another recent outrage to mention (especially to the Israeli ambassador) 
is the illegal detention of two 14 year-old Palestinian children, Osama 
Zedtune and Jihad Ayyesh, on May 31st at Huwarra checkpoint. Melissa, an 
ISM activist  from Vancouver, sent an urgent appeal to help get these 
boys released which you can read at:

Palestinian, Israeli and international peace activists will be converging 
on Huwarra checkpoint near Nablus tomorrow to call for an end to the 
occupation and the release of illegally detained Palestinian civilians.
