CONFERENCE - DISPELLING MISCONCEPTIONS:
MEDIA, CONFLICT AND IMPERIALISM IN THE MIDDLE EAST

In an historic and unprecedented move, three SFU student unions have
decided to come together to organize a conference on the Middle East and
the media.

Given the pre-eminence of this topic in world affairs today, it is
imperative that there exists a public dialogue that addresses these
crucial issues in an informed and critically responsible way.

We seek to create such a dialogue with this conference and hope that you
as a concerned member of the public will attend.

Saturday, February 8, 2003
at SFU Harbour Centre.
9am--4pm

Speakers include:

Dr. William Cleveland - SFU history -
"U.S. foreign policy on Iraq/Israel"
