"He [Pilger] has always aimed to reach behind the standard news
stereotypes in order to dismantle myths, reveal a reality and give a
voice to the voiceless. His films often tell truths that are
unpalatable for different groups, and often cause discomfort to
governments and special interest groups." said the UK broadcaster of
the film... England's Independent Television Commission said Pilger
"provided persuasive evidence of the care and thoroughness with
which it [the film] was researched". [Guardian newspaper January 13,
2003]

Pilger is a prominent print journalist and documentary film-maker
and opponent of the war against Iraq. Pilger's film has been shown
on television in the United Kingdom (ITV) and in Australia. The
quality of his journalism was praised by the UK independent
television regulatory body (the ITC), after investigating many of
the politically motivated complaints pursuant to the film's first
broadcast. The complaints backfired and have only reinforced the
public credibility of the documentary!
