Compassion Cabaret showcases local talents on March 14th
VANCOUVER - On Friday, March 14th, the BC Compassion Club Society kicks off
their first ever Compassion Cabaret at the Wise Hall. Featuring musicians
from all persuasions, attendees will definitely find something to suit
their tastes.
Spokesperson Rielle Capler notes, "We want to create an event with lots of
variety, so that anyone, whatever their musical style, will have a great
time. And to experience such high quality talents in one evening, well,
it'll certainly be memorable."
Swing sounds from Damsels Undistressed and 1930's and 40's classic reefer
jazz from The Tall Brothers and will ease the crowd into the first part of
the show.
Other local favourites, including accordion superstar Ana Bon Bon and the
revolutionary wordsmith, SunSkript will round out the evening's repertoire.
Dub Freque will raise the energy with their funky reggae beats.
Smoothing out the evening, DJ Jacob Cino and Bounty Hunta will weave
electronic hip-hop styles with dance hall world flavours.
"The community has always been strongly supportive of the Compassion Club,"
states Capler, "Now, as the need for our services expands, so must we. This
is an opportunity for the community to come out and show their passion for
compassion while enjoying the eclectic sounds of local musicians."
Doors open at 7:30pm, and the show starts at 8pm. Don't be late! Contact
Rielle at 604-875-0448 for more info.
