Let's show as much support as we can to these sisters and brothers on the
front lines of the battle with the government of corporate greed.

HEU rally & march scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday March 1st at Library
Square (to VAG). Any support much appreciated


Health care workers will be demonstrating to protect Medicare and to
preserve public services. There are requests for proposals about to be
awarded by the Health Authorities that would result in the contracting out
of thousands of jobs in health care housekeeping, nutrition services,
linen services and security. This will result in one of, if not the
largest ever, sacking of primarily women, without any cause or
justification other than to transfer tax dollars to the BC Liberals'
friends and break Campbell's favourite Union, the HEU. There will be HEU
members from all areas of BC in attendance, since HEU is holding a two day
direct action strategy conference in Richmond.
