Friends,

The Bid Corp has tried to stack the advance polls by bussing in
workers from places like GM place who are told to get out there and
vote 'yes'.

The workers get 'free' pizza (its been reported that no vegetarian pizza
was offered, thanks Jack). No Games is offering free smiles and pats
on the back to everyone thinking of the rest of the province and voting
with a conscience. We cannot match the glitz and glamour that the
Yes side is bombarding the public with, but the No side has put a
massive dent in their campaign, even considering the pizza factor.

We have fought a hard battle against the Bid Corp and their corporate
supporters over the last few months. We have faced down vested
interests, opposed three levels of government, and stood fast against
the vast financial resources of the Yes side. Against all odds, we stand
on the threshold of winning the plebiscite on the Olympic Bid. We have
created a citizens’ movement whose scope can be far greater than just
opposition to the Bid. We have the ability to stop the Bid and, in so
doing, change the face of politics in British Columbia.

The outcome of the plebiscite will be determined by the side best able
to get its supporters to the polls on February 22nd. While we believe
we have the support of most of the public in Vancouver and British
Columbia, we must ensure that all who are able to vote NO do so. Our
supporters must now make a supreme effort to vote and to encourage
and enable others to do so as well.

What can you do? Make sure that you, your family, and your friends
and acquaintances go to the polls. If necessary, offer to drive people
to polling places so that they can vote. If you live outside of
Vancouver, call your families/friends and urge them to vote NO. Unlike
the Bid Corp, we don’t have the financial resources to do these tasks
for you. If you won’t personally take them on, no one will.

The outcome is in your hands. Your vote can stop the Bid Corp’s
special interests in their tracks and begin the process of restoring
control of British Columbia to all of its people. If you do nothing, we will
fail in this critical mission. With your help, we will succeed. Vote NO
for all the people of British Columbia.
