Saturday, September 13 is the international day of action against corporate
globalization and war to coincide with the week the WTO meets in Cancun
Mexico. In Vancouver Trading Strategies is preparing a Making the Links
carnival to protest corporate globalization and war (full details at
bottom of this message).
We will take this opportunity to display posters, flags etc that have been used
in past protests, marches etc. We need your help. We hope you will look around
for items that can be put on display. Our objective is to have a display that
will help us make the links, recall and honour our struggles, and inspire us
for the future.
Make sure your particular event in represented. Call and we can arrange pick-up.
The peoples response to the Liberal government's attack on community in
favour of private corporations has been clear and powerful. Tens of
thousands of British Columbians, in virtually every city and town in the
province, have been taking action to advocate for a better British
Columbia. At the same time, people have held demonstrations and marches
against war, militarism, poverty and all forms of discrimination and
exclusion.
A great deal of energy has been expended and the ingenuity and creative talent
generated needs to be remembered.
Thank you, we look forward to hearing from you
