The Group of Relatives and Friends of Political Prisoners in Mexico and the Bus
Riders Union present:
WTO: the Trojan Horse of Imperalist Globalization
A discussion of the upcoming WTO meeting in Cancun, Mexico
Join the Group of Relatives and Friends of Political Prisoners in Mexico and the
Bus Riders Union for a dynamic evening to explore the impacts of the World
Trade Organization on the day-to-day lives of working class and
marginalized people. From the denial of the human rights to health through privatization
and intellectual property rights, to the history of the violent imposition
of neoliberal policies
on the people of Latin America, the creative multi-media presentation will
examine some of the connections between the WTO, neoliberal policies, and
militarization.
Stay for a discussion of the local and international movement for social justice
and concrete strategies of resistance to the WTO and imperialist globalization.
**Join us for great Latin American food and
drink, live music, and art exhibition.
**Everyone is invited to this fun, educational evening!
Free childcare, entrance by donation.
