[van-announce] Dinners for Tent City

Dear Friends and Supporters:

As you are all aware, on July 26th, the Victory Squat moved from Victory
Square Park to Thornton Park at Main and Terminal.  Since our escalation
of this action, the numbers of squatters continues to grow.  All of our
supporters have been instrumental in making and keeping this action
strong.

We are trying to set up a schedule of dinners for Tent City over the month
of August.  We are asking supporting organizations to choose a few nights
over the next month when they can prepare and serve a dinner for
approximately 40 people.

Please contact Jill at 604-726-5789 or at malliga at resist.ca to schedule
dinner nights.

To make material donations to the squat (e.g. tarps, tents, rope, wood,
blankets, etc.) contact the APC office at 604-682-2726 or just drop them
off on-site (Main & Terminal).  If you would like to make a financial
donation to the Victory Squat, you can make a deposit to the Anti-Poverty
Committee at any VanCity Credit Union branch.
