seventies and eighties, the rise of worldwide
autonomous movements since the late nineties, and the multiple
potentialities of the antiwar & antiglobalization movements of today.

George is a former student of Frankfurt School philosopher Herbert
Marcuse and is editor of the journal "New Political Science" as well
as the collection "The Battle of Seattle: The New Challenge
to Capitalist Globalization" published by Soft Skull Press. He is
also the author of "The Imagination of the New Left: A Global
Analysis of 1968" and the award-winning "The Subversion of Politics:
European Autonomous Social Movements  and the Decolonization of
Everyday Life".
