Come join us for a group bike ride on Saturday, September 7, to Presence. 
Meet us...

o  11am at the Kitsilano Capers Market (2285 West 4th Avenue)
o  on route at Science Word (1455 Quebec Street near Terminal and Main)
o  on route at Uprising Bakery (1697 Venables near Commercial Drive)

The route will likely be Adanac all the way to Renfrew or so, then down to the end of Wall St. and through the parking lot to the tunnel to New Brighton Park.

PRESENCE

What is PRESENCE?

-an intentional gathering to activate youth toward local and global change
-a source of essential info in the days leading up to BC's civic elections,
on Nov. 16
-a warm-up party for Think Youth: "a day for youth to shape their city" ­
presented by Think City, on Sunday September 8
-an expression of emerging global consciousness through art, dance, and
individual expression
-a sensuous and silly dance party for all ages

PRESENCE

A FREE festival of Urban Youth Culture,
at New Brighton Park in the Peoples' Republic of East Van, just S/W of the
Second Narrows Bridge.
Opening circle at noon, closing circle at 8:30 pm.

featuring:
-main stage with uptempo dj's, Youth Driven performers, and spoken word
-downtempo stage
-puppet stage and all-ages play area
-on-site art happenings
-info for urban activists

Parking is severely limited, but it's easy to get there by bike or bus (#7
Nanaimo or #4 Powell), and there will also be free shuttle bus service, and
a Critical Mass Ride to get there.
