An 'Argentina Ablaze' documentary film depicting Grassroots resistance and organizing will be screened on Monday 28th at 7:00pm in room 1900 of the SFU Harbour Centre Campus. 

October 28th will feature 'The Face of Dignity' (Rostro de la Dignidad). This film shows how the Unemployed Workers Movement from Solano uses grassroots democracy to run businesses that support the community.

The Argentinean economic collapse left millions of people without the necessities to survive and a government incapable of providing for them. As a result of this there has been mass mobilization of grassroots groups to oppose the governments policies and to fight for their rights.

This film is presented by the Latin American Studies Student Union at SFU. Admission is by donation with proceeds going to the independent media collective 'Argentina Ablaze'. For more detailed descriptions of the film and more information, visit http://www.sfu.ca/lassu/event_arg_docs.htm.
