[van-announce] Critical Mass Ride August 30

Hey people and other assorted critters!

The Critical Mass Bike Ride is THIS FRIDAY!! August 30th.

In Vancouver, meet 5:00 to 5:30 pm at the Art Gallery (West Georgia between
Howe and Hornby by the fountain). Bring costumes or bright colours, funky
or decorated bikes, bells, whistles, horns, other noisemakers and squirt
guns if you have them. 

All human-powered transport welcome. The ride is on rain or shine! After
the ride we'll go somewhere to eat and possibly party! The beach has been
suggested if it's nice!!

Critical Mass is a monthly ride or skate through the streets of downtown
Vancouver -- on the last Friday of the month -- to promote non-polluting
forms of transportation. It is a celebration of one beautiful and simple
alternative: the bicycle. Skateboards, roller blades, roller-skates, and
tricycles are all welcome too! 

 Mass for Mass Transit.
 We Are Not Blocking Traffic, We ARE Traffic!
