The Anti-Poverty Committee is calling a demonstration to:
END THE THREE WEEK WAIT!
Wednesday, August 7th
1pm
Burrard St. Skytrain Station
March to the Vancouver Regional Executive Welfare Office to Demand:
1. END THE THREE WEEK WAIT! (House the homeless, feed the hungry, care for
the sick, end discrimination against refugees, end the quota system.)
2. END THE FORCED FAMILY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM! (Respect and support women
fleeing abuse.)
3. PROVIDE CHILDCARE FOR SINGLE PARENTS RECIEVING AND APPLYING FOR WELFARE!
The APC thanks all those who endorsed these demands. Only if we fight
together, alongside all poor and working people in the province can we
defeat this government.
