Message-ID: Hello all you uberculturalists out there! I realize that sending this email out so late might cause most of you to read it on Sunday, but hopefully it won't be too short notice. With that in mind, uberculture's next meeting will be Monday, October 7, in the Hall Building Java U , at 5:00 . We will be discussing the next free market (whihc due to scheduling problems has been moved from the 8th to the 15th, my apologies for any inconveniences that may cause), and as usual, we welcome your ideas, whether they be culture jamming-related, activist-related, art-related, or anything else that you think we might be able to help you with! Hope to see you there! -Vincent -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It's a great opportunity! Hope to see you all there tomorrow! Love, ?berculture Hey clubs, This Thursday, November 10 th , a province-wide demonstration by post-secondary students will take place to protest against the governments? increase to tuition of $1625 over the next 5 years for Quebec residents. As has been the case in the past, this increase will be much larger for out-of-province and international students. For example, in 2007, tuition for Quebec residents increased by $500. Due to this increase, out-of-province students saw their tuition increase by $1500, while tuition for international students increased by $5000. All this is to say that non-residents always get hit hardest, so we need to stand together on November 10 th to fight against these increases ? not only for our own sakes, but for the sake of our fellow students. Concordia students will be meeting on the Reggies terrace (SGW) or the Loyola Quad (LOY) at 11am . Free food will be served at both locations, and buses will shuttle students from Loyola to SGW at 12:30pm. The march will be leaving SGW at 1pm to meet with the rest of the student movement. On November 10 th , let?s all stand together, let?s stand against this increase, and let?s ensure Concordia students are well-represented in this province-wide fight against tuition increases. See you on the streets, Chad Walcott Gonzo Nieto VP External VP Clubs & Student Space _______________________________________________ Clubslist mailing list Clubslist at lists.csu.qc.ca http://lists.csu.qc.ca/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/clubslist -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Message-ID: Hello there, yonder uberculturalists! Before I get down to brass tacks, I would like to apologise for anyone who got spam from being on our mailing list. The issue is under control and I will try to make sure it doesn't happen again. Also, I would like to thank all of you who came out to our Really Really Free Market last Tuesday. It was a big hit, I think. We got lots of donations and lots of drawings on our giant sheet of butcher paper, which is cool. So thank you, and spread the word for next time! But now for the real reason you're getting this message: uberculture's next meeting will be on Monday, November 21st, in the Hall Building Java U . Hope to see you there! -Vincent -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
