Hey überculturalists!

This e-mail is to tell you three REALLY Important Things!
1) The RRFM
2) Endorsements for YOURConcordia, independent councillors, and referendum questions
3) A special treat!
(I know it's long, but please pretty please read the whole thing!)

1) The RRFM is Tomorrow!

>From 10am - 4pm on the 7th floor of the Hall building , we will be hosting the Spring Cleaning Edition of the Really Really Free Market!
I would love to see all of you out there, trading in your winter blues for some new (free!) warm-weather gear!
There will also, as always, be free coffee available, provided you bring your own mug! (If you don't have a mug, they are generally available for purchase from the CSU offices around the corner for $2)
Come on out to relax and recycle with your community!

2) Elections are coming up!
Wait, no! Don't skip over this part! I know you've probably been hearing WAY too much about it and just want to get back to studying, BUT
Voting is really important! Like, really really really important!

At our last meeting, überculture discussed who/what we would like to officially endorse during the campaigns, and decided on the following:

    • We want to express our support for the YOURConcordia executive slate and their team of councillors, senate, and BoG representatives! They have already done an amazing job at meaningfully engaging with students throughout their campaign, and have shown their commitment to issues of student space and club representation throughout the year. These are very important issues for clubs like überculture! We strongly encourage you to check out their website(s) at: YOUR Concordia and YOUR Concordia's Tumblr
    • Also, we want to express our support for the unaffiliated Arts & Science councillors Alex Matak & Kelly Pennington! They have been a great break from the intensity of the group campaigns (and, incidentally, have the most creative posters!), and instead of making tons of campaign promises and playing political games, they have been emphasizing to students the importance of voting and having a say in who runs your CSU. Please check out their wordpress blog here: http://campaigningsucks.wordpress.com/
    • And last but not least, there are a number of referendum questions that will be on the ballot for this election. They are the following, with accompanying informative web-pages: 1. A fee-levy for CJLO: Website and Facebook Event 2. A fee-levy for Void Magazine: Facebook Event 3. A fee-levy for Queer Concordia : Facebook Event 4. And a question of support for the initiative to ban the sale of bottled water on campus: Facebook Event and Wordpress We strongly recommend voting YES to every single one of these referenda! They are all admirable initiatives at our school, and each one of them deserves the support of every student!

3) HOLY MOLY! You made it through the whole e-mail!
Thanks for reading! Being informed is super important so you can make a meaningful vote during the elections. And who doesn't love the RRFM?!
As a reward for all your hard readin' work, here's a video of an adorable baby enjoying what you probably want to do to your exam notes/campaign posters/electricity bill:

Bring on the cuteness!

Lots of love,
überculture <3
