Hello everyone,
Meet to protest TODAY (October 27th) at 1:30pm
in front of the GM building at Guy and Maisonneuve
Michael DiGrappa confirmed last night that Concordia is to sign an exclusive beverage contract with PepsiCo.
This is in direct violation of the recommendations (May 2010) of Concordia's Environmental Advisory Committee, which include a clear, democratic and transparent negotiation process in keeping with Law C65.1 (a Quebec provincial law governing contracts within public institutions), a non-exclusive contract and NO bottled water as some of their recommendations. 35 members of Concordia's faculty have signed on to these recommendations. These objectives are also supported by student associations , community groups and individual students on campus.
There will be a rally today to protest the lack of transparency and accountability at Concordia University with respect to the PepsiCo contract.
Meet to protest TODAY (October 27th) at 1:30pm
in front of the GM building at Guy and Maisonneuve
See you there,
Gonzo
