Crüberculture ,

There is, as always, a meeting at Java U TODAY (Monday, October 18th) at >> 5:30pm<< for those of you who are cool. We will be, as the title of this e-mail suggested, brainstorming for Buy Nothing Week and collecting a massive amount of water bottles for the bottled water project.

#1: My peeps, we NEED YOUR HELP for the bottled water project!
The plan is as follows:
- roughly 300-400 water bottles NEED to be collected. We are collecting them today (Monday) somewhere between 6-6:30pm. If you can't help out today but have time tomorrow to lend a hand, contact TapThirst
( tapthirst at gmail.com – 514-848-7583)
- on WEDNESDAY at 8AM we meet at the steps of überculture's office ( 2020 MACKAY ). At 830AM we will
walk over to the Concordia square at the corner of Guy and de Maisonneuve.

The reason we need your help is this: Plenty of hands are needed to make sure the bottles stay under control, and should police come, we want to be able to show that it's an art display making a point about the waste and consumption that goes largely unnoticed, and most importantly that we have it under control and can clean it up quickly.

#2: At this meeting we will be brainstorming for BUY NOTHING WEEK (Nov. 22-27th!). Bring your brains and all of your ideas! We all want to hear them -- workshops, flash mobs, guerrilla theater or direct action, any and all ideas are welcome !
AND, we're wanting to book a bar to hold a Speak-Easy at the end of the week to finish it all off! If you: PERFORM ANYTHING, DANCE, RAP, SING, PLAY MUSIC, DO SPOKEN WORD or even YO-YO, we'd like to see it done! Bring your wallets and talent, we'll make this a night worth remembering. Or forgetting. It just depends on if you were performing or watching.

Sit up straight,
Gonzo and the ü berculture crew
