A cultural event within the ongoing Artists Against Apartheid concert
series uniting ground-breaking artists from Montreal in solidarity with
the growing international movement against Israeli apartheid. This evening
will focus on the contemporary struggle of Bil'in village in the West
Bank, Palestine, which recently filed a lawsuit in Quebec Superior Court
against two sister companies registered in Quebec, currently constructing
in an exclusive Israeli settlement on lands within Bil'in's municipality.

rap ensemble Nomadic Massive who recently released a debut solo album on

* Sarita Ahooja: social activist from Montreal, with involvement in
multiple liberation struggles from Latin America, to Mohawk territory, to
Palestine, who worked in Bil'in, Palestine with the International
Solidarity Movement (ISM).
* A Day in Palestine, a film by Mary-Ellen Davis, with score from musician
Will Eizlini soundtrack, scenes of everyday life in the occupied
Palestinian territories, with a dream-like feeling reminiscent of
home-movies of the 60s. Instead of a day at the beach or in the backyard:
a wall, an olive tree, a bulldozer, soldiers harassing grandmothers.
