International Day of Action Against Israeli Aggression
TWO STARTING POINTS:
1:30pm, corner Mackay and de Maisonneuve
2:00pm, corner Peel and Rene-Levesque
MARCHING TO: Complexe Guy-Favreau

The Israeli assault on Lebanon, coming 19 days into a similar attack on
Gaza, has been unrelenting for ten days. Over 300 people have been killed;
over 1000 injured; and 100,000s are displaced. Bridges, roads, ports, the
airport, and basic civilian infrastructure have been bombed. Villages, homes
and apartment buildings have been destroyed. There are reports of the use of
chemical weapons. Israel's assault is an act of state terror in complete
disregard of international law and of the principles of ethical human
conduct.

As destruction and death mount, the Canadian government has refused to
change its position that Israel is acting with measured self-defense. People
are mobilising in Montreal to demand that Prime Minister Harper take strong
action to pressure Israel to end the attacks immediately.
