Hi SWAF,

I don’t want to be alarmist. I don’t really know how this might affect independent workers.

As you might be aware, Public Health officials are shutting down brothels from Germany to Bangledesh.

Today at noon, Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Bonny Henry has ordered all personal services in BC closed, including specifically massage parlours. She was just on CBC Radio.

Independent service providers, be aware: Under BC’s Public Health Act, s.99(1)(k), you can be arrested and charged for failure to comply with a Medical Health Officer order.

Now is a good time to practice discretion more than ever.
