Truly incredible story Susan! Your tenacity to survive through those times is incredible. We’re so grateful you did.
I’m sure each incident can be elaborated to expose much more depth to the experiences.
Makes you wonder if any of the johns or pimps have had remorse and changed their lives for the good or if they landed in jail or just got away with shit and keep the same abusive nature.
How many of the workers you met along the way healed? Or were murdered?
Your experiences are so valuable to those of us who now benefit from the hard shit work you did. Thank you so much for surviving and fighting for the rights of others!  You are a gift to so many who don’t even know it.
You’re a rock star and I love you!!

thanks so much!!  i have been thinking alot about the divisions between migrant sex workers and citizen sex workers and even though i didn't migrate internationally, many of the same perils existed... i feel like we are stronger together and that any law reform or actions should include all sex workers.

Wow thanks for your story Susan Davis if you're on this list and to Annie for publishing it.

Amazing and horrifying to know what it was like way back when and I guess it still is now for so many women.

I am so lucky as an indoor independent doing mainly tantra, my experiences and clients are SO DIFFERENT and mainly POSITIVE.

Yes we all should be supporting each other and the im/migrants especially!

And each other in our normie businesses if we have any.

I will try to go to the Calabria meat market next time I'm anywhere near that neighbourhood. Victoria and 35th.
