[SWAF-Potluck] Sex work monument picnic?

Hi potluckers,

I have to come to town for an AIDS history project Sept 13-16, to be interviewed about sex-worker AIDS activism in the 1990s.

Turns out the interview team is friends with Becki Ross, and the dish is that the West End Sex Work monument, that Jamie Lee and Becki Ross have worked tirelessly on is supposed to be unveiled on Friday Sept 16.

I am wondering if maybe there's interest in a picnic or BBQ in the park around the West End? Might be nice for after the monument ceremony? I don't know the time, and maybe this info hasn't been released yet.

One year Triple-X held our BBQ near the tennis courts area down there and it was quite private and easy to park and unload cars etc.

Just a thought.
