[SWAF-Potluck] Advice for a Partner of SW

Hi friends,

I got this email yesterday from the partner of a sex worker and he is
asking for resources. I will, of course, invite him to join The Naked Truth
group on Facebook, but wondering if any of you have other suggestions I can
pass on?

Any help is much appreciated and I thank you for being a community I can
tap into when someone asks me a hard question. ;)

His email:

"I was just reading info on TheNakedTruth (found via a link at the PEERS
Victoria site), and though I'd ask a couple of questions.


I am a male partner of a female sex worker (incall-only, agency-represented
full-service). I am absolutely supportive of her choice to work in the
industry. We each have certain boundaries, of course, like anyone in any
kind of relationship may have, but the nature of sex work can
sometimes blur the lines and lead to conflict.


My partner is and always has been very respectful of our "rules". I, too,
consider and respect them at all times. They have evolved out of
practicality through trial and error, since she began work.


My partner has been working for just four months, on average three days per
week. She generally enjoys the work, but the sheen is definitely wearing
off, and she is looking to write a viable exit plan that will leave her
with enough money to finish her degree debt-free.  She hopes to shortly
reduce her involvement to just occasional in-calls with a few of her
established regulars, no more scheduled shifts and and no more new
clients.  Her long-term plan is to walk-away from the industry completely
before graduation. I am doing whatever I can to help her meet her goals.


I am looking to chat, blog, or otherwise interact with other
partners/boyfriends/husbands/wives of sex workers, in the interest of
better navigating the sometimes complicated aspects of maintaining a n
emotionally/intellectually monogamous relationship wherein one partner has
sex with others on a regular basis.


Do you know of any resources or individuals who might be open to dialogue?"
