That's not the best night for me as I already have something else I would
like to attend that night, tho I do recognize the significance of that date
and overthrowing the patriarchy. ...

Are any other nights possible? I would propose maybe have a potluck
dedicated to discussing this, say a week earlier at the end of November,
and have our holiday gathering separate so it can be more focused on fun
and gift exchanging etc, maybe slightly later in the month? The only other
night I'm currently booked is Dec 4th.

Thanks for considering other options, thank you Anyaa for getting the ball
rolling, and thank you everyone who went to the press conference today and
is working on all this behind the scenes. I do hope we can get the VPD to
make a statement and commit to pursuing crimes that actually hurt
somebody... (uh, duh!) They aren't going to want to arrest all the
important and powerful men/people in this city and across the country who
use these services, so really this law is just a cover for something else
or to pretend they are cracking down on morals or something... wtf they are
only going to get themselves in trouble if they really meant it. what
hypocrisy. jeesh.
