[SWAF-Potluck] Removal

I have given both Lux's and Aanya's concerns some thought. As someone
who has gotten many many emails every day, I didn't really understand
what was so annoying. But I just realized. I am a desktop person. All
my email (work and personal) I do on my computer. If I get emails I
don't want I simply filter them to the trash, or a mailbox I will read
later.

I noticed that Aanya's message came from her iphone. I am not an
iphone person, so I did not realize that if you are notified every
time you receive an email on your phone. And, you use your phone for
work. And you get three messages in a row from me which are clippings
you either have already seen or don't care too. I'd be annoyed too.

I understand that the original purpose for this email list was to
organize socially. I first met Ki in 2011 at City Hall, at a council
meeting dealing with the sex trade. He brought a large duffle bag of
his sheets and towels, with a lovely performance planned. :^) The
meeting ran so long that Ki eventually had to bail because he had a
prior family commitment. We sat together on the bench, next to Jamie
Lee Hamilton, and had lots of time to get to know each other a bit.

At that time, Ki was interested in inviting more politically active
people onto the list, and people like me and Will and Kerry Porth and
Raven Bowen and many others were invited to potlucks even though many
of us were not longer involved in the erotic arts industry.

If a listserv facilitates deep discussion, it can sometimes generate
more than 10 emails a day. This kind of flurry of activity is usually
thought to be a sign of the the success of the listserv.

For me this list is an important way to get important messages to 75
people involved in this industry many of whom I cannot reach any other
way. I apologize to those of you who I have annoyed.
