Hi Potluckers,

I went to see a great play last weekend, called "A Particular Class of
Women" about a strip club on Yonge Street in Toronto in the 1980s. Written
by Janet Feindel (who was an exotic dancer from the era), the play features
hilarious and bawdy stories in the dressing room told by 8 women who work
there.

The play has special significance for me because I have known six of these
women, during my days working at Maggie's (the Prostitutes Safe Sex
Project) in Toronto. When I knew these women they were entering their 40s,
and had become actively involved in the sex workers' rights scene.

It's a terrific production of a wonderfully funny play. The costumes are
devine, and the acting is superb. You really get to know these women!

The play is put on by Never You Mind Productions
http://neveryoumindproductions.com

It will be in North Vancouver at the Presentation House Theatre, February
18 to 23.
And it will be in Port Moody at the Inlet Theatre March 6 to 8.

Hope you like it!
Andy
