Hello all, hope you're well.
HUSTLE at HIM and BBCfE GSHI (Gender and Sexual Health Initiative); Dr. Kate
Shannon and her team have entered into a research partnership together
called CHAPS - Community health assessment for self-identified men who
purchase and sell sex.
Essentially it is a 2 part research study (qualitative/quantitative
interviews) similar to the AESHA project (female identified sex workers)
that they have been conducting over the last few years
http://www.cfenet.ubc.ca/research/aesha. HUSTLE is the lead community
investigator tasked with recruitment of potential participants in the CHAPS
study.
For the initial phase of the project, we have developed a interview guide
of questions and are interested in piloting the guide with 4-6 participants
that represent diverse self-identified experience in sex work and the
industry. BBCfE Ethics and honorarium as safeguard of confidentiality,
integrity and compensation for peoples time have been incorporated into the
project and I was wondering if any of you might be interested and/or know
other guys who might be interested in participating in the pilot and/or one
or more phases of the study? I have attached an info one sheet here FYI.
For more information, please feel free to contact me directly at
matthew at checkhimout.ca
Thank you for considering my request :)
