Join us for StopWar's Annual General Meeting

Saturday, June 2, 11am to 4pm
65 W. Cordova (at Abbott)

You're invited to join StopWar, the Lower Mainland's broad-based anti-war
coalition, for a day of reflection, discussion and strategizing.

The day will get started with a roundtable discussion with activists from
diverse movements, including:

Rachel Tutte, BC Health Coalition and World Peace Forum
Randi Gurholt-Seary, CUPE childcare activist
Scott Clark, urban aboriginal advocate
Susan Ruzic, PAGE (Peace and Global Educators),

In this time of Budget cuts to public services, StopWar is looking to
reach out to labour and community groups to talk about how we can
complement each other's work and make connections
between spending on wars abroad and cuts to services, environmental
regulation and human needs
at home.

The new Canadian Peace Alliance campaign, 'Peace and Prosperity, Not War
and Austerity', will be one focus of our discussion. The day will start
with a roundtable including social activists from different sectors,
talking about what this campaign and this slogan means to them.
