Protest the escalation of the war in Afghanistan Sat. Dec 12 -- No more
troops, end the occupation now!
Sat. Dec. 12, 12 Noon @ Robson & Homer (outside the VPL downtown branch)
With President Obama's announcement of a massive escalation of the war in
Afghanistan, with upwards of 30,000 additional US troops to be deployed in
early 2010, the anti-war movement is responding with a much-needed 'surge'
of its own. There have been emergency protests in cities across the U.S.
and, on Dec. 12, there will be a major action in Washington, D.C. against
the escalation.
StopWar.ca is calling for a protest here in Vancouver, Saturday Dec. 12,
12 noon, outside the Vancouver Public Library downtown on the Robson side
(at Homer). We hope you can join us. Here are some links to articles
