From Vatican City to Detroit
What an amazing photo!
Three weeks ago, Pope Francis made history. Today, you can help Presbyterians do the same.

Dear Andrew,
We did it!
With your help, we collected over 10,000 signatures to our letter thanking Pope Francis for his historic prayer besides the Apartheid Wall in Bethlehem. The Pope's gesture was seen by millions around the world, and criticized by some, so we decided it was important to thank him... in person. This past Wednesday, a group of JVP supporters carried our message, bearing your signature and so many others, all the way to the Vatican in Rome!
But now you can help us with an even more urgent matter, and sign this multifaith open letter in support of the Presbyterian Church (USA) as they face the critical choice of whether to continue investing in the occupation.
This is now a pivotal moment in the engagement of faith communities around seeking peace and justice in Israel and Palestine: Days ago, a key body within the United Methodist Church voted to divest from Israeli occupation profiteer G4S - a landmark decision with profound implications. And in a few days, the Presbyterian Church (USA) will convene in Detroit to consider divesting from Hewlett-Packard, Motorola Solutions, and Caterpillar - the culmination of a ten year process!
Your support and encouragement can make a critical difference: Please take a moment to sign a multifaith open letter to the PC(USA), urging them remain strong in the face of intense pressure to continue investing in the occupation, and to follow their conscience.
As Jews, Muslims, Christians, and people of all faiths, we stand in solidarity with Presbyterians facing this historic choice:
Please join us.
Onward,
Abe Greenhouse
