                        New campaign launch
MAP launched a new awareness-raising campaign in Islington on 4th September, asking local residents to imagine living under occupation, with restricted access to hospitals. A parallel launch took place in Oxford. The campaign is backed by a powerful image of a 25-foot high wall running through the centre of each location, and includes 100,000 mailings and ad vans in each location for 10 days.

                        News
                                 20 years after Oslo
Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Oslo Accords. The Palestinian healthcare system is a prime example of the way in which the initial optimism surrounding Oslo has failed to translate into reality. As Palestinians and Israelis sit at the negotiating table again, what lessons could be learned from Oslo?

                                 Jordan Valley home demolition
Last week, Israeli forces demolished the home of a family in the Jordan Valley in one of the Bedouin communities that MAP works with. Twelve people were displaced, including a pregnant mother, Ahlam. MAP's Programmes Assistant in the West Bank, Mark McGuinness, interviewed Ahlam and her family about their heartbreaking story.

Running in Beirut for MAP's projects
MAP's Programmes Assistant in Beirut, Kate Mason, ran a half marathon to raise funds for MAP's projects in the camps in Lebanon. "Working here in Lebanon with MAP, and seeing the difference MAP's work makes in people's lives, is humbling and inspiring," says Kate. You can help support Kate's run and MAP's programmes in Lebanon.
