Hi All
On Thursday 14th March Clackmannanshire Council voted to avoid any action that would provide comfort to the State of Israel.

The key sentence in the carefully worded motion is: Clackmannannanshire Council resolves to resist, insofar as legislative considerations permit, any action that gives political or economic support to the State of Israel.

The motion was proposed by Councillor Archie Drummond and recieved cross-party support. It was carried by eleven votes to nil with four abstentions.
Our thanks go to Councillor Drummond and the council for its courageous decision.

Many thanks to our group members who met with councillors to appraise them of the true situation in Palestine, and to seek their support for the motion.

The next meeting of the group is at 7.30 on Thursday 28th March in the Raploch Campus building.
