Hi All
In the last meeting we discussed methods of contacting elected representatives at the various levels.
I have just had a look at http://www.writetothem.com and the website seems now to be very comprehensive.
By simply entering your own post code you then get to choose which set of representatives you wish
to write to. You then fill out your letter and email address and send (after a quick preview)
You will get a follow up email 2 weeks later date asking if the individual replied or not. This is
one of the advantages I see of this approach. It is constantly building up a database of contacts with
elected representatives and their response. At the moment it doesn't do any analysis of the content
say to build a profile of the types of letters in different areas but I suspect as the system evolves we
might see this in the future.
Note, this system uses a couple of databases that hold details of elected reps and their contact details
hence it should be fairly up to date.
