      Thank you so much for helping us deliver a powerful message at the Presidential Inauguration in DC last week about Israeli accountability to US and international law.

      With your support, we worked with the US Campaign to End the Occupation to place a hard-hitting full-page ad in the special inauguration edition of Roll Call,  the influential Capitol Hill newspaper read by nearly 20,000 Congressional staffers and elected officials.

      And on the ground, the Jewish Voice for Peace-DC Metro chapter led a 500-person strong interfaith No Blank Check rally with speakers like Craig Corrie and Najla Said, co-sponsored with American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee and Washington Interfaith Alliance for Middle East Peace that pierced the myth that the Israel Lobby speaks for American Jews.

      In both cases, we focused on the astonishing numbers of you--over 60,000-- who signed our open letter to President Obama.  

      Because of your signature, we sent a clear message that if our leaders will stand up for Palestinian and Jewish Israeli equality, there are Jews, Muslims, Christians, and atheists who have got their back.

      This blitz of media and grassroots organizing came on top of our campaign to prevent the Israel Lobby from blocking Chuck Hagel's nomination, which earned  several mentions in the New York Times among other outlets.

      I want to give a special thanks to the JVP-DC Metro and especially chapter leader Shelley Fudge - a tireless organizer and unbelievably powerful catalyst of change.  And I want to thank the US Campaign, ADC, WIAMEP, and every other ally who did so much work to make this happen.
