Hi All
Correspondence from Provost's PA attached. After the meeting with the
Provost we'll only have an hour or so before our visitors will need a meal.
Most of us will have to wait until evening to meet them. We won't have a lot
of time with them as they have to leave early on Saturday morning.
Please keep in touch with your suggestions/ ideas.
All the best
Andy

Hello Andy - Unfortunately, it will not be possible for anyone else to
attend this private meeting between Provost Robbins, the Mayor of Jenin and
Director of the Jenin Creative Cultural Centre. As your previous email
stated that the Mayor would be accompanied by one other official,
arrangements have now been made for a purely civic meeting to take place.

This would not be an appropriate occasion for other individuals to be
present.

Regards,
Mary.

Hi Mary
A few members of our group would like to come along on Friday afternoon. If
three or four came would that be OK? I have told them we have to limit
numbers. Please let me know what would be appropriate.
Many thanks and all the best
Andy

Hello Andy - Thank you for your email below. Provost Robbins has advised
that he'd be pleased to meet with the Mayor of Jenin and the Director of the
Jenin Creative Cultural Centre.

I have placed an appointment in Provost Robbins' diary for 3.30 p.m. on 30
November here at Stirling Council, Old Viewforth.

On arrival at Old Viewforth Reception please report to Reception where you
will be handed a pass for the Members' Car Park (barrier operated).

Please confirm if this date/time is suitable.

Regards,
Mary.

Hi Mary
As I explained during our phone conversation I am a member of the Forth
Valley Palestine Group.
The Mayor of Jenin and the Director of the Jenin Creative Cultural Centre
will be speaking at the Smith Museum on 30th November. I've attached a flyer
advertising the event. The meeting has been organised by our group.
I would like to arrange a meeting of the mayor with the Provost and I wonder
if you could pursue that with the Provost on behalf of the Forth Valley
Palestine Group. The Director of the Cultural Centre could also be involved.

Jenin was the subject of much media coverage in 2002 when it was attacked by
the Israelis and 52 Palestinians and 23 Israeli soldiers were killed. The
Cultural Centre was opened in 2005 and, at that time it's Director said: 'I
want to create hope.'

If you require any more information please get back to me.
Many thanks for your help.
All the best
Andy Stuart
